Lashir: The Jewish Choir Of Princeton
Established in 1981, Lashir is an independent, volunteer, non-profit Jewish community choir comprised of members drawn primarily from the Princeton area. We are the oldest source of Jewish choral music in this area of New Jersey that does not serve the liturgical needs of a synagogue. Serving as a cultural representative of the Jewish community, we are dedicated to preserving, promoting, and transmitting our Jewish cultural heritage. Membership in lashir is open to anyone who has the desire and capacity to sing Jewish music. We sing in Hebrew, Yiddish, Arabic, and Ladino. We depend completely on your support to survive, and for that support we say:
"Todah Rabah."
